Our Partnerships
We are an outward facing school community and over the years, we have developed close links and partnerships with many groups and organisations. Here are details of some of them.
The Parish of Catharine of Alexandria in Frome and St Dominic Mells
We are an integral part of this thriving Parish. Father Richard Dwyer is a frequent visitor to school and makes sure that all the children are included in masses and celebrations. Masses in school are always Parish masses too, and we visit and use the church of St Catharine as well. Together, both parish and the school work hard to provide an excellent faith filled foundation for the children’s futures.
The Emmaus Catholic Partnership of Schools
St Louis School belongs to a strong partnership of Catholic schools spanning the four counties of Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset. We work together to promote and strengthen the Catholic education we provide. Children from the partner schools collaborate and meet together and when they do, get a sense of the size and mission of the larger Catholic ‘family’ of schools.
Schools in the partnership are listed below with links to each of their websites.
St Augustine’s Catholic College Trowbridge
St Joseph’s Catholic School Salisbury
St Josephs Catholic Primary School Devizes
St Georges Catholic Primary School Warminster
St Osmund’s Catholic Primary School Salisbury
Christ the King Catholic Primary School Amesbury
Wardour Catholic Primary School Tisbury
The Clifton Cluster Teacher Training Group
Together with six Catholic Primary Schools we offer a PGCE teacher training programme for students in partnership with the Bath Spa University. Students spend the majority of their time learning in schools, benefiting from the direct experience and support in classrooms, but they also have weekly university time for further education study. In partnership with other schools in the group we offer a rich and dynamic teacher training experience which is popular with students.
The Frome Learning Partnership
The Frome Learning Partnership is a well established and effective group of seventeen schools in Frome and surrounding villages. As a group of schools we work closely together in a wide variety of ways. Teachers collaborate on joint projects and meet regularly to consider how to make the education children receive even better. Children meet together to celebrate and further their learning including music events and sports tournaments. And in order to provide further support for the young people and families in Frome, we have a team of support workers and professionals, working towards our aim to be fully inclusive and to minimise exclusions.
