About the School
St Louis Catholic Primary School is the only primary school in cental Frome. Situated in the heart of Frome, just yards from the town centre, the school is modern, with bright and airy classrooms. Outside there are attractive play areas joined together by our ancient Heritage Orchard. Close by is our playing field, frequently used for sports and games. We have a very large catchment area and we serve the Parish of St Catharine, the whole of Frome and surrounding villages. There are currently 181 children on roll taught in seven classes, one class for each year group from our Reception class all the way through to our Year 6. There are between twenty five and thirty children in each class which makes our classes and indeed the whole school just the right size for children to know everyone, have a wide range of friends to learn with and to be known really well by all of our team of teachers and support staff.
We are a Catholic school and our faith is at the heart of what we do. Our mission statement ‘...to love, wonder and achieve together' encapsulates what we value. The care and respect is evident and St Louis provides a safe, nurturing learning environment. Our curriculum aims to help our children grow in every way – not just academically but in their individuality and uniqueness. We are part of the Dunstan Catholic Education Trust. Being part of the Trust enables St Louis to be in a community of Catholic schools where children will receive an all-round education rooted in Christian values in an nurturing environment where they can flourish and become lifelong learners and fulfil their potential.
